So much potential

I frequently use the phrase "blockchain has the potential to [solve problem X]"

This is similar to "Crypto fixes this" (a common phrase used on Twitter).

The main difference is the use of the word "potential." Just because crypto/blockchain exists does not mean problem X is already solved.

We still have work to do.

A lot of people try to justify the fact that we have work to do... "blockchain is still new" (it's over 10 years old). Adoption is still low because blockchain is difficult to understand and difficult to use. We won't solve big problems until the basics are more accessible.

More tomorrow,

P.S. It's ok that there's work to do. That's called opportunity. Don't try to justify it. Try to help.
